Hot-dip galvanized carbon steel (ASTM A123 / A153). Corrosion resistance: Good — zinc barrier coating for general industrial exposure. Best for: General industrial, cost-sensitive, indoor & sheltered outdoor.
The most economical option. Choose 304 or 316 stainless for saltwater, chlorides, or aggressive chemical exposure.
304 austenitic stainless steel (ASTM A240 / A276). Corrosion resistance: Excellent for most corrosive and washdown environments. Best for: Corrosive environments, food-grade, chemical exposure.
A step up from galvanized for corrosive and food-grade settings. Choose 316 for marine or chloride-heavy environments.
316 marine-grade stainless steel (molybdenum-added) (ASTM A240 / A276). Corrosion resistance: Maximum — resists chlorides, saltwater, and harsh chemicals. Best for: Marine, offshore, saltwater, extreme chemical exposure.
Premium corrosion resistance for the harshest sites. The molybdenum content resists pitting from chlorides and saltwater.
